The food, the food, the food reminded me of a school cafeteria or TV dinner. The best meal we had was at the hibachi and Italian food. The bar tenders were friendly, a few were angry that they had to work. Overall, I had a good trip, but I wouldn't visit this resort again.

Due to the hurricane Melissa airports were closed and there were no accommodations given or offered at the resort. INSTEAD the resort manipulated the situation to gain more money from visitors. We we all given different rates just to stay one or two more days at the resort. There was no empathy, given our situation they even increased the rates for transportation. Night staff didn’t do their jobs for room service I’ve had to ask over 5 times for simple supplies like so or even a hair dryer.

Checking in - the line wasn't long however it took an hour to check in and get to my room. Dining - there are 11 restaurants on the property but not all are opened daily and its limited availability for reservation, i was only able to reserve one restaurants and the food was undesirable. The buffet had limited daily choices. Room mini bar did not include alcohol and the drinks at all the bars were watered down. Activities- therr is nothing to do at hideway, it is truly just room, and bars. The only saving grace for this hotel is that most of the bar staff is friendly and made the experience worthy. I wont visit the establishment again

The property was beautiful! From the time we entered we were greeted with staff that offered assistance with our bags. We had about a two hour wait until our room was ready. I’m the meantime, my boyfriend and I decided to explore the property to see what there was to look forward to doing. We immediately dinned at the buffet and the food was immaculate every single meal time. Not too much room for improvement aside from telling guests the hours of operations of the buffet. The concierge were constantly hustling for people to book excursions which could be a little overwhelming when relaxation is the ultimate goal but hey, I get it. Overall, Markeeno as well as the other staff at the Aquarius bar, Ruchelle at the giftshop treated us with the utmost respect and kindness. For this, we will definitely return.

Beach view is nice and maintained well. Not enough beach chairs. Buffet food pretty similar everyday and less options. Hotel room needs to check regularly like bathroom sink and mini fridge. We had to change room because of bathroom sink leaking and mini fridge wasn't working or cold. They don't restock cleaning products or room coffee or tea products unless you ask for it. Hotel went black out couple times while we stay there. We had to eat over cooked steak. Some restaurant food or buffet food were super salty. Rice was really dried.

We visited for our wedding anniversary and it was just what we needed - a quiet getaway that allowed us to get great rest and meaningful time together. While there were activities available every day, they did not interfere with our alone time as the property was large enough. Toni-Ann at Scoops provided memorable service and we went back daily just to interact with her. The buffet was expansive and the food was tasty. Room service being available 24/7 was a huge benefit since we mostly stayed in. Overall, we had a great experience and left refreshed. It is evident that they continue to work towards improving the experiences of guests and that great to see!

The food was very good for a resort. They actually served Jamaican cuisines daily which I enjoyed. The pools and beachside were also nice and spacious. The elevators need maintenance, there were multiple days where they were out of service during our stay. There was also a day where the power and water was shut off for several hours which was very inconvenient and unfortunately it stormed during that timeframe as well. Not sure what the cause of the outage was, but an announcement was made prior, so this appeared to be a scheduled thing.

The room was not clean nor up to par. The floor had cracks in the cement and dirt residue buildup in between the tiles. The shower’s nob kept falling off. The room also had small insects crawling in corners/counters. Mosquitoes flying around the room in which I mostly got rid of using my OFF spray. The staff on our floor, 500 level, (we stayed in room 536) was racist and made a comment mentioning “why don’t I just go to KFC, don’t I like and rather that type of food” because I was a Black African American, they assumed I wanted fried chicken. I should have reported the young woman who mentioned that to me. It was three young ladies sitting at the desk when you first get off the elevator on the 500 level. They were all laughing at me as if it was funny but it was rather humiliating. All I asked them for was a microwave in which they all looked at each other as if they were lying and proceeded to make that comment and say no. This incident took place on 9/18 at around 2-2:30pm. The pool side/ beach scenery was very nice. The excursions and tour guide was very nice. The waiters at the restaurants did not provide warm and welcoming service. Most restaurants we wanted to book in advance were not available which was also frustrating. Overall, we did not enjoy our experience in Jamaica at the resort and most likely will never be returning.
