The room was very tiny only 2 towels and 2 wash cloths for a 2 night stay with 2 people I didn’t like the elevator experience and the walls are so thin I could hear everything going on in the next room.

Great location! Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of elevators to manage so many guests; we never had to wait more than a few minutes at most. Room was small, but just fine for two people. We’d definitely stay again!

I paid for “CITY VIEW” (several hundred dollars more than a regular room). Got to room and had zero CITY VIEW. Spoke with lady at the Lobby who said, “We don’t have any rooms with CITY VIEW at this hotel”. With an attitude. So naturally I asked if there would be a price adjustment (after showing the confirmation printout that clearly stated CITY VIEW). She move us to another SMALLER room, still no CITY VIEW. So much for making it right. Lastly, AC didn’t work so it was super hot and uncomfortable in the room. Will never use this site again. Mainly because they ripped me off with a promise of something they couldn’t or wouldn’t deliver. Very disappointing!!

They were doing construction to renovate the lobby area. We were on the second floor and the noise was terrible. They started construction at 7am and it was impossible to sleep or relax with the noise right underneath us. When I complained, there was no real solution offered. There was also no lobby sitting area at all. There was always a long wait for the elevators and they were very crowded. We were told that the stairs 'were closed' due to the construction. This seemed like a safety hazard. When I checked out, I recommended to the front desk that they not re-rent our room because of the construction noise. I think we should have been offered something for our discomfort.

The staff was excellent however it was not told that there was major construction being done on the hotel during our stay. Starting at roughly 9:45 each day there was loud banging Construction no place to sit in a lobby and we have to actually have our room moved. They had issues with electrical so the turnstile to get in out of the hotel didn’t work. Uber kiosk didn’t work and the elevators were painfully slow. I have stayed at lots of Hilton properties in the past. I will never return to this one.

THE GOOD: An excellent option because of its location. Very close to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Fifth Avenue, and a few blocks from Central Park, if you like to walk. The room was very clean and cozy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausages, waffles, bread, fresh oatmeal, coffee, tea, etc., a good variety to choose from. THE BAD: The revolving doors to enter and exit the hotel are very slow, sometimes leaving you trapped for several seconds without moving, and you can't push them because they are supposed to be automatic. The elevators are a nightmare; you need your room key card to tell you which elevator to take, and there are no buttons inside to select your floor. Between 9 am and 11 am, it's chaotic trying to go up or down due to the congestion of people waiting for their specific elevator, and often, when someone holds the elevator on a floor, it seems to malfunction, and the assigned elevator never arrives at your floor. The room is super small. If you have more than carry-on luggage, you won't have much space to move around in the room. But even with all that, if I return to New York, I think I would stay here again.
