This is our second time there and we returned for a reason. The staff is so welcoming from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, they are the friendliest and most helpful staff we have ever come across at a resort. The rooms are clean, the food is great and everything is so close by. There is not much more you could ask for in a resort. My only issue is we wish the bar opened before 10am!!

This is a nice,older, property with an outstanding staff and excellent food. The spa services were excellent as well. We stayed in the signature spa villa 6004 which included unlimited spa visits. The staff at the spa, especially Krystal, were super nice and helpful.The bed in the villa was amazing as was the pool. The bad: facilities are a bit run down and can use some paint and some TLC for sure. This place is right along the road at a busy intersection and is very loud with traffic noise 14 hrs per day. You can clearly see the intersection red light from the open air lobby, yes its that close to the main road. Not very relaxing and annoying to say the least. Thank goodness we brought a sound machine to try to drown out the noise to get some sleep, but at full volume, we were still woken up numerous times by jake brakes and airhorns. We also experienced no hot water in our villa for about a day, but was quickly corrected by staff. Our AC unit had a mind of it own and was very loud and squeaky. It worked when it it wanted to and would go from 68 to 84 degrees randomly, so you never knew what you were walking into. The food and service was excellent as were the bar tenders. If you are hard of hearing, I think this would be the perfect place for a great Jamaican vacation!

It is a very clean resort. The food options are very limited. There is no dinner buffet or lunch buffet. You typically have about three things to choose from on the lunch menu for entrees. The beach was well maintained and had plenty of chairs. It was a nice resort for an older one. It is located on a busy road so you do hear traffic and engine brakes all day long at the pool. We enjoyed our stay but I would most likely find a different resort based off of the food options.

The food at Couples during our stay was fantastic! The rooms are very clean and the property is small and easy to get around. Water sports are great-Michael our sailing instructor was wonderful! The entertainment was so - so but the entertainment staff work really hard to get people involved in activities during the day and evening. They were working on the main bar when we arrived and drinks were painfully slow to get at dinner. In fact it was better to bring our own to the restaurants. Hopefully this gets better now that the main bar reopened on our last night.

I have been to this resort three times previously, all 10/10 visits. This visit was 1/10. I wrote a letter about everything that happens to couples after the conclusion of our stay. I did not receive a response. We will not be returning a fifth time to this resort, sadly.A simple response from the hotel would have gone a long way. Them fixing the issues would have gone a long way. But we never received that courtesy. Here is what went wrong, and the manager refused to fix. 1.We were given the wrong room. After telling them we knew the room was a downgrade, they offered the difference of the two rooms in the form of a refund, $125 a night plus tax. We agreed. Four days into the trip we received not even half of what was promised as a discount. After contacting Expedia, and a lengthy conversation with their manager we were told by both places that the other person has to refund the amount. I believe expedia since we were already lied to by couples 2.They lost our rewards info, this was our 4th visit, and 17th day visiting in the last four years. We received no romance rewards. 3.We did not have air conditioning 6/8 days. Everyday we were told someone would look at it and no one did. The sixth day they offered to move rooms and so we experienced two downgrades in one visit. 4 No one informed us there would be loud construction on the bar. Others had received the option to change their trip dates. Not us I’ll say again all complaints were brought to the manager
